Release 2023.06
In the course of Tuesday May 30th, 2023, all customers on the production version of the Procurios Platform will use release 2023.06. In this blog you can read all about what's new and what has been improved. For more information about the different versions of the platform, please visit the release page.
CMS: setting allowed frame ancestors in a website
Applying iframes in a website requires extra attention to security. To the settings of websites hosted by Procurios, a setting "Allowed frame ancestors" is therefore added. This allows you to indicate which specific "host websites" are allowed to display your website in an iframe.
If you leave the new field blank, it works as before, and iframing is allowed by all websites.
Communities: responding to a comment on a community post
In some organizations, the community is heavily used and there are posts with as many as 100 comments. When there are so many responses, the conversation that goes along with them can quickly become cluttered. Especially when someone leaves multiple responses, possibly to multiple posts, it is useful for context to know what someone is responding to!
To make this easier to understand, we have made it possible to "quote" a response. This works more or less the same way as Whatsapp's 'replies'. On an existing comment, you can click the 'Reply' button. This will include a quote from the message you are responding to in your new comment. You can put the text of your response before or after it, or even quote multiple responses at once. It is only possible to quote an entire response, not part of it.
Finance: fields on collection invoice
It can happen that debtors, following an invoice paid by direct debit, also transfer the invoice amount themselves. You then have a double payment which means you have to do extra administration. You want to avoid this as much as possible with invoices paid by direct debit.
For this reason you can use an alternative invoice text in which you explain that people do not have to transfer the amount themselves. But information such as a payment reference can also prompt the debtor to make a transfer.
Therefore, we have made it possible to also indicate an alternative selection of fields for invoices paid by direct debit. You can then omit irrelevant information, such as a payment reference.

Meetings & Events: queue number in meetings
At large events, getting the reception right is sometimes a chore. For example, how do you make sure that 1,000 people all get their welcome packet and name badge in a short period of time? One solution often used is to distribute visitors or participants to different reception or registration points based on their last name. However, this rarely results in a proportional distribution and then the reception still takes longer than desired.
The solution we are introducing in the Procurios platform with this release is that each participant is given a queue number that starts at 1 for each meeting and then increases. This number allows you to distribute visitors evenly across your reception desks and ensures that your reception can run smoothly.
The queue number is available as a column in the attendee list and its export. It can also be included in emails sent to attendees. To ensure that the queue number stands out, it is always displayed in a minimum of 4 characters. So number 1 is displayed as 0001.
The reason the queue number is different from the ticket number is that a consecutive sequence is very easy to abuse. The validity of a ticket must be checked separately at all times!
Memberships: testing price calculation
The price of a membership can be based on a price calculation instead of a fixed amount. For example, a calculation based on a tier, a feature allocation or a calculation based on a value on a free field.
When entering/changing a (new) price calculation, you must of course test whether the desired amounts are calculated. Until now, this could not be done other than by entering a subscription and running it through the billing process. This is a method that is not only cumbersome, but can also be undesirable because you may then have to enter test data in a live environment.
We have therefore added the ability to test price calculations with a test calculation. When you open a price calculation you will find a 'Test this calculation' button below the contribution amounts. You can then choose a relation from the CRM and specify a reference date. The calculation then shows what the contribution for that relation would be if an invoice were created on that day. This way you can set new contribution amounts and check whether the amounts are indeed in line with your expectations.
Note: This test calculation indicates a gross contribution amount for a full contribution period and does not take into account discounts, different price for an initial period, VAT, etc.
